This is lovely, Barbara! But I hate to tell you that it isn't 'Henry Eilers' Rudbeckia. Not sure which one it is, but definitely not that. It looks more like 'Goldilocks' to me.
'Henry Eilers' is quilled and not nearly as frilly and full. It's my favorite of all Rudbeckias and not a hybrid. It was discovered in southern Illinois!
You are soooo right, Kylee! I looked up my plan from last year to see what I had planted and just went from that - must have substituted something and didn't write down what I subbed. Henry has a much thinner leaf. Thankyou for pointing that out - I need my friends!!
If I didn't have it, and it wasn't my favorite, I likely wouldn't have known! If you ever see something I've misidentified on my blog, please tell me, too! :-)
