The Growing Zone - Day 2
Open Space 59 is starting to get dressed up.
Transformation is a beautiful thing. Tree and shrubs in and just starting to add the perennials. So what did I learn today?
Many hands make light work.
One fact that has been reinforced during this planting - fall really is the best time to plant. You don't get the instant gratification that spring and summer plantings afford (you can hardly see the flowering shrubs and perennials in these pictures), but the lower stress level on the plants is obvious. In spring and summer, when plants are busy growing and blooming, manpower needs to be set aside for diligent watering in the planting process. During this planting, with almost dormant plants, we've been able to spend less time watering and more time finishing the project. And rain is predicted for tomorrow

Many hands do make things go a little faster. This area is going to be great! I love planting in the fall too.
I have posted my win from you if you would like to drop by and see it.
