Big sis's new house has this utility box smack dab in the middle of their front yard so they've surrounded it with Encore Azaleas - blooming now in mid-November in Atlanta. They'll eventually be big enough to hide this eyesore.

So why is the beautiful Narcissus flower associated with the awful narcissistic personality? Well mythology tells us that Narcissus was a beautiful man who spurned love from all who sought him out because of his own vanity. The goddess Artemis made Narcissus fall in love with his own reflection in a pond from which he could not leave because he was so enamored with himself. He died at that spot and a white flower, with a blood-red rimmed cup, grew every spring where he died.

Y'all remember my big garden install project that I mentioned on Day 1 that was pushing me into The Growing Zone?


Added a few trees and shrubs


Insta-park! Just add water and it grows!!
Lesson learned when finishing off this project: with the steep slopes of these beds, we used pine straw as our mulch - won't wash away like hardwood, pine fines, or pine nuggets.
