Day 3 - Transition into Fall

Sometimes changing out containers can take stages. This container had a colorful Japanese blood grass (Imperator cylindrical) as the thriller plant during the summer time. I kept the Blood grass to take me until a deep freeze and added the heuchera that will be used in the winter planting. Throw in some Croton for a couple of months of fall color - a transitional container for fall!

Rene, they are all shade loving and like soil to slightly dry out between watering. Only heuchera will last through our Tennessee winters.
