Day 125 - Using Containers For Architectural Balance

When I first walked through the gates at Dwell's pool, before we'd added any containers to the area, I was struck by all the horizontal and vertical lines that criss-crossed before me except for the one eyebrow arch doorway. We used lots of fat round planters around the pool to break up the lines, but my favorite addition was this strong vertical container with the soft curves of the tall spiral Juniper that my co-worker, Yelena, added. A very simple planting that both reflects and softens the architecture surrounding it.

There's something to be said about simplicity.

May all your gardens grow!

Nice focal element to accent the arch!
