Day 44 - Container Gardening for Special Events
Most of my container gardening is for outdoors - enhancing an entry way, bringing color atop columns, becoming a focal point in a garden. Every once in a while I get to do containers for those folks who realize that potted plants are a better investment for decorating a stage and table tops than cut flowers, especially if you have a use in mind for those plants afterwards.
This is a set-up that I did for a speaker at a Realtor's luncheon enhancing the stage and also using planted bowls for the table decorations.
After the event, the bowls were given as doorprizes and all the potted plants around the stage were used for a landscaping project coming up the following week.
Golden Chamaecyparis with baskets of Chenille plants and primrose, a purple Azalea surrounded by Nandina, bowls of variegated Bouganvilla, primrose, and ivy for the tables.
